For: Nutrition Assessment course

This student wanted to demonstrate the physical barriers to getting food to mouth when one lives with neurological conditions that cause shaking. She created a shaking spoon (from her brother’s broken candy fan and a glued-on  broken ice cream spoon) and invited students to try to get a spoonful of dry cereal close to their mouths without spilling. It was impossible. She went on to explain about effective ways for people living with conditions that cause them to shake to take nourishment.
